This is my recently completed Tamiya Block 52 Viper done up in the markings of the Republic of Singapore Air Force's 143 Squadron 'Phoenix'. The NSI/PW intake/engine combination was taken from the Tamiya F-16 Block 25/32 kit.
Paint used was Gunze acrylics for the camouflage greys and Alclad II for the metallic areas.
Decals were a mixture of kit decals and from a Scale Nutz sheet. An enamel wash was used to accentuate the panel lines, landing gear and to add a little hydraulic staining on the wings and rudder.
Some modifications done include adding a DASH-3 helmet mounted sight sensor to the canopy and cutting out the seat belt decals and applying them to the seat with the backing paper still attached.
The static discharge wicks (16 in all) were done by using the bristles of an old toothbrush cut to the appropriate length and superglued on to the plane. They were then painted black with a white tip.
